Pictured here is a mated pair of Canvas Back Decoy Ducks created by Lem and Steve Ward of Crisfield Maryland, who while barbers became, through their hobby of 40 years, world famous Decoy Duck waterfowl ARTISTS. Authenticated back to a personal relationship with the Ward brothers, these two decoy ducks are the real McCoy and there are no other like them anywhere. A chance to purchase these works of art is truly an opportunity of a life time for the serious art collector.
This mated pair of Canvas Back Decoy Ducks are unique and one of kind. Like the Mona Lisa they are truly works of art. These one of kind pair of collector decoy ducks were personally hand down to me ten to fifteen years ago by Louis Sciscenti and my mother'S sister Grace Borzi before their deaths.
How the Sciscenti/Borzi family came to own this mated pair of Canvas Back Decoy Ducks is a unique history. It is a relationship between my family who was in the barber supply businesses and Lem and Steve Ward who where barbers.
*Authentication of these Ward Brothers Decoys include the actual letter sent by L. T. Ward and the original Sun Magazine supplement of the Sunday Dec. 18, 1966 Baltimore Sun which is autographed by the Ward Brothers and features a picture of the Ward Brothers working on the very decoys available for purchase.
